Stock Markets
There are lots of reason being offered for the drop in stock markets around the world. The Asian markets had risen too much too fast. The fear that rise in Japanese interest rates would impact "carry trade" where investors borrow in Japan at very low interest rates and invest in countries/markets with higher interest rates etc. What is lost in all of this discussion is the fact that it's taken five years to approach where the markert indices were in 2000/2001, NASDAQ still reamain at less than half of its its highs in 2000. With few exceptions such as Google, technology and healthcare remain beaten down. Maybe its's time for sector rotation.
